Industrial machinery and equipment are built to close tolerances and run continuously under load, so a fault that would be forgivable elsewhere — a dimension slightly out of spec, a control wired incorrectly, a safety interlock that does not trip — can stop a production line or put an operator at risk. Dimensional accuracy, function under power, electrical safety and the presence of required guards and interlocks all have to be verified against your specification and, where practical, tested in operation. An on-site inspection checks the finished unit before it is crated and shipped, so a problem is caught at the factory, not on your production floor.
